Suprasorb A + AG 5x5 cm
Bandage made of natural algae fiber with strong absorbent capacity; heavily exuding wounds such as e.g. for the treatment of leg ulcers, bedsores, skin donations in the fresh donor area, and infected wounds.
Bacteria present in wound exudates are bound by the gel. During Suprasorb A + AG, the wound remains constantly moist, the epithelial tissue can develop well, and the optimal microclimate accelerates wound healing.
Suprasorb A + AG does not stick to the wound, so the young tissue is not damaged during the dressing change, and the healing process can continue uninterrupted. Due to its strong secretion-absorbing capacity, the time between bond changes is extended. Depending on the type of wound and the degree of discharge, the calcium alginate dressing may remain in the wound for up to 7 days.
Upon contact with wound exudate or blood, Suprasorb A + AG forms a gel. In the wound secretion, Na + ions are taken up by the gel and Ca ++ ions are released.
As a result of the simultaneous swelling process, Suprasorb A + AG fits optimally to the shape of the wound.
