Ingrown toenails are often associated with swelling of the lateral skin fold, inflammation, and the development of game meat. In this case, it is very difficult to see and find the edge of the ingrown nail. With the ingrown nail lifter, the swollen part of the nail can be gently lifted.
The device is not pointed, flat and optimally thin so it can be slid under the swollen skin without damaging it.
